If I can think of a silver lining in this pandemic, one could be the creativity and resourcefulness it brings out in people.
2020 is indeed a year of challenges. But let’s remember that this year also highlights the birth of many “home-made” Chefs and businesswomen/men, or The Online Sellers in general.
I listed some of the products (foods in particular) that my friends sell online, in support of whatever good cause they have. For the foodies’ out there, pick your orders now from the menu below. All are fairly priced and taste really really good.
- Bangus ni Beshie
Your easy to cook, pinoy favorite bangus from Dagupan is only one fry away. Bangus Central Daing na Bangus, Tinapa, Relyeno atbp will deliver #bangusnibeshie from Pangasinan straight to your “hapag-kainan”. I’m thinking of Fried Tinapang Bangus with bagoong + tomato/talong… now I’m craving.

- Count’s Oven
Count’s best-selling Ube Cheese Pandesal is the best I’ve tasted so far, generously filled with premium cheese and ube halaya. They also sell freshly baked cookies and brownies which are both popular to kids based on reviews. I heard new baked goodies will be coming soon. With its fair price and quality taste, Count’s Oven’s products are a must-try.

- Witchy’s Delight
This one is close to my heart. This yummy leche flan from the South is reviewed to be “siksik, liglig at umaapaw sa sarap”. Aside from its thickness in flavor and consistency, it has the right amount of sweetness that will make you say “last na ‘to pramis” again and again. Witchy’s leche flan is indeed…delighting. But wait, there’s more! They also sell Banana Muffins with Walnuts and Choco Chips, and Crinkles. The taste is really good as it looks.

- ZuuZuu Hot
This home-made Chili Garlic Sauce will make you ask for more (in my case – rice). It combines perfectly with your fried rice, soy or fish sauce with calamansi, pasta or anything you like. It’s fairly priced considering a bottle generously filled with chili garlic in olive oil. It’s so, so hot you’ll definitely get tempted!

- The Online Food Hub PH
The famous Angkong Dimsum will be missed No More. Thomasians can relate. And they want you to experience it too. I’m a fan of dimsum and this is one of the best. Steamed or fried, it’s really tasty. Mix it with ZuuZuu Hot and you’ll definitely forget the rest.

Products: Dimsum varieties

- Na Fe’s Ranapanada
Truly home-made foods are more filling and satisfying. Maybe because the ingredients are more plenty, fresher and no preservatives. And Nanay Fe’s chicken vegetable empanada is no exception. They also sell Portuguese Egg Tart. Sounds delicious right?

- Mommy Weng’s Kitchen
Another must-try from the South is Mommy Weng’s home-made skinless longganisa. Its garlicky-sweet taste is like a fusion of our beloved Ilocos, Nueva Ecija and Pampanga’s longganisa. Match it with their spicy Sukang Ilocos and voila! They also resell various authentic goods like Vigan longganisa, mushroom chicharron and many more.

This is one of my favorites. For pancit lovers like me, indulge yourself to a wide variety of pancit from our beloved pancit bihon to their uniquely delicious pancit pusit. They specialize in all pancit varieties from all over the Philippines. To cope with this pandemic, they created their own brand of easy to cook noodles and ingredients, which they sell online.

- Breadzbykiko
Last but not the least are the freshly baked goodness by Chef Kiko. More than the enticing and Pinterest-ish looks, his pies (peach mango, tuna and egg pie) are worthy treats. The pie fillings are thick and not to mention, Tuna pie is savory as in the pic. He also makes bagels and pretzels. Though orders come from Binan, they sometimes offer pick up points in Quezon City area during Sundays.
